3 Ingredient Christmas Cookies
No one wants to be spending Christmas in the kitchen which is why we need easy-peasy party food! These recipes can be easily adjusted, and you can feel free to add a little sparkle to adapt them to your taste. Remember that Santa desperately needs cookies when coming down the chimney on Christmas Eve, so these are a December must-have!
You will need one stick and two tablespoons of salted butter, 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 cup of all-purpose flour (and sprinkles!!). Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and get an electric mixer to cream the sugar and butter, then stir in the flour. Form the cookie dough into balls and place them on baking parchment. Flatten the cookies into a disc shape and scatter the sprinkles on top. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden! Perfect with a glass of milk or hot cocoa.
Peanut Butter Cookies
Peanut butter lovers, this one is for you. The magic of this recipe is that it is made with 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 cup of sugar and one egg. Super easy to remember and will be your ultimate go-to! Simply preheat the oven to 350degrees and line a tin with parchment. In a bowl, stir all of the ingredients together until adequately combined. Roll into balls and press down with the back of a fork then press again in the opposite direction for a groovy pattern. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy! Ultimate buttery goodness. Add a dash of sugar as decoration for extra sweetness. Maybe it's about time we made a peanut butter Gookie Dough? The real question is are you a crunchy or smooth person?
Mixed emotions about the name of this treat but don't worry; it's time to get super American! All you need is one package of ready to bake chocolate chip cookie dough, one bag of turtles candies and half a cup of milk or dark chocolate chips. (For those of you who don't know what Turtle's are, it's an American chocolate which contains caramel and pecans).
All you do is preheat the oven and bake the cookies. Remove from the oven and press the turtle sweets into the centre of each cookie and let cool. Place the chocolate chips into a bowl and melt and spoon the melted chocolate in a drizzle over each cookie. The results look divine.
S'mores Cookie Bites
Get the kids involved with this one! Everyone loves crispy but gooey s'mores goodness with plain digestive biscuits, marshmallows and chocolate chunks. The best bit about this one? NO BAKING! Grab your digestive and pop a large marshmallow on top, grill until the marshmallow begins to melt and become nice and toasty. Once golden, immediately remove and pop your chocolate chunk on top. Digestives not for you? Take on sweet vs savoury with a Ritz cracker. A Hershey's kiss looks even better because of the shape. Totally kissable!
There you have it, simple baking with mouth-watering results. Just remember to leave some out for Santa and his reindeers. I am sure the little elves wouldn't mind a little nibble either? Merry Baking! Which is your favourite?
